Joyce Hatchett is genuinely a working artist. Arriving in Western Australia as a 7 year old from her native Scotland, Joyce already had paint in her veins, and by 11, she was taking lessons in oil painting. With a firm intent to create, Joyce threw herself at a broad range of creative pursuits, and in the visual arts, one of the hallmarks of Joyce’s practice is still the range of things she does. This is not an artist who can be easily pigeonholed. Currently Joyce is running her own studio

The Hatchett Gallery is situated in Wellington Mill in the heart of the picturesque Ferguson Valley, just over two hours south of Perth and less than 30 minutes from Bunbury.

Visitors will immediately be entranced with the breadth of work from Joyce, and delighted with the surrounds in this, one of the most delightful corners of the South West.
Kiss Cow Moosic Mania was created for Radio West to be part of the Cow Parade in 2010.

I was approached by Radio West to create this cow for the abovementioned parade.  Cliff Reeve the Radio Announcer at the time of commissioning me to create this lovely bovine not so subtly suggested that she/he be created in the form of a Rock Star and that it be Gene Simmons from the fabulous band KISS.
