Living and breathing her art from the South West, local artist Joyce Hatchett has created one of the most diverse and prominent portfolios in the region.
As one of the South West’s most prolific artists, Ms Hatchett’s work incorporates various mediums and styles, from antique restoration and contemporary album artwork through to traditional abstract and cartoon work.
She is also well known for her challenging work painting features on large water tanks and banners.
To truly appreciate the diversity of her work and the artist behind, you have to travel to Ferguson Valley and the Hatchett Gallery (Formely Misty Vale Studio) near Gnomesville.
Situated in the heart of the Valley at Wellington Mill, the Hatchett Gallery will entrance you with the full breadth and diversity of her work.
You can also watch Ms Hatchett at work on her latest creative project and discuss the original thoughts behind the art.
Surrounded by hills and the wildlife of the untouched South West, the Hatchett Gallery is open Sundays and most public holidays from 10am to 3.30pm, as well as by appointment.
